Igorot Stone Kingdom at a Glance
Located near Farmer’s Daughter and Tam-awan Village in Long Long Benguet Rd, Igorot Stone Kingdom is a new attraction that is slowly gaining popularity among tourists. It is an open-air gallery of stone ripraps built by the Igorots, an indigenous group in the Philippines.
The stone ripraps are arranged in a series of terraces that lead up to a viewing deck. From here, you can get a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
The Igorots are known for their skill in stone sculpting. They use a technique called “pounding” to create intricate designs on the stones. The finished products are both beautiful and durable, making them perfect for use as ripraps.
Igorot Stone Kingdom is still a work in progress. More stone sculptures are being added to the terraces, so there is always something new to see.
When to Visit Igorot Stone Kingdom
Best Months to Visit
The best time to visit Igorot Stone Kingdom is during the dry season, which runs from November to May. During this time, there is less chance of rain. The terraces can get slippery when wet, so it’s best to avoid visiting during the rainy season.
Best Time of Day to Visit
Visit Igorot Stone Kingdom in the morning or afternoon to avoid the heat. The temperature can get quite hot in Baguio despite the cool weather. To avoid the crowd, visit on a weekday rather than the weekend and go as early as 6:00 AM.
What to Bring
Be sure to bring the following items when you visit Igorot Stone Kingdom:
- sunscreen – you’ll be walking under the sun
- hats or umbrellas – most parts don’t have a shade
- water bottles – there’s a lot of walking involved
- snacks – there’s currently only a limited number of food options inside
- cameras – to take those insta-worthy shots!
Admission Fee
Igorot Stone Kingdome is open daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Admission to Igorot Stone Kingdom is:
- P100 for 13 years old and up
- P80 for senior (with ID) and kids (4 to 12 years old)
- Toddlers are free (3 years old and below)
How to Get to Igorot Stone Kingdom
Igorot Stone Kingdom is located in Baguio, which is about a 4 to 5 hour drive from Manila. If you’re coming from other parts of the Philippines, you can take a bus or a plane to Manila. Then, ride a bus to Baguio.
There are several buses that go to Baguio from Manila. The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours. The most popular bus companies are Victory Liner, Joybus, and Pangasinan Solid North.
Once you’re in Baguio, you can take a taxi or a jeepney to Igorot Stone Kingdom. The journey takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on the traffic and where you’re coming from.
You can ride a jeep in Otek St. beside Goodtaste Rest. near Burnham park.
Travel Tip: When traveling on the weekends or on holidays, there’s going to be heavy traffic going to Igorot Stone Kingdom from the city district. You can try the La Trinidad route going to Igorot Stone Kingdom. Start from Puguis, La Trinidad going up to Longlong Rd. This is perfect if you’re coming from Strawberry farm.
Our Experience
Living in Baguio, we’ve passed by Igorot Stone Kingdom several times when it was being built. We were curious about it but never got around to visiting. Recently, we finally had the chance to check it out. Together with my nephews and niece, we decided to explore Igorot Stone Kingdom.
We arrived at around 7:00 am in Igorot Stone Kingdom. There were only a handful of people at that time so we had the place to ourselves for a while. We started exploring the terraces and taking pictures.
We spent a good amount of time admiring the view. The detail and workmanship is really impressive. It’s amazing how the Igorots were able to create such intricate designs using only stones.
There are a lot of photo spots in the Stone Kingdom. We had a lot of fun taking photos and exploring the different areas. You can also rent costumes for a fee.
The place is still being worked on so there are areas that are off-limits to visitors. We’re looking forward to seeing how the place will look like once it’s completed.
The food court opened at around 9:00 am. We grabbed some snacks there before heading back down. By that time, the place was starting to get crowded so we decided to leave.

On March 30, 2023, Baguio Councilor Mylen Yaranon posted on Facebook that Igorot Stone Kingdom is set to open soon after public consultations, solutions to traffic, solutions to garbage, inspections and certifications and fulfillment of government requirements. And on April 1, 2023, Pio Velasco, the owner of Igorot Stone Kingdom posted that the attraction is set to open again on April 3, 2023.

Yes, you can tell the jeepney driver that you’re going to igorot stone kingdom. Going back, you’ll have to wait for a while to ride a jeep. There are more taxis passing by than jeeps. As for the taxi, there’s a taxi lane just outside the igorot stone kingdom.
