Planning to visit the Northern Blossom Flower Farm in Atok? You’re in the right place!
I’ve been to the flower farm four times. In this travel guide, I’ll share with you how to get to Northern Blossom and things you should know before you visit.
Northern Blossom Flower Farm in Atok

Northern Blossom flower farm in Atok, Benguet, is a wide flower plantation. It is owned by Mellany Ganayan and her husband. Together, they both manage the farm and a flower shop business in Dimasalang, Metro Manila.
Since most of their flowers are of a rare variety, their shop has catered to a lot of flower arrangement stylists who want to include the flowers in their styles and designs.
Their flowers have been used to decorate the Malacanang Palace, the nuptial of Senator Chiz Escudero and Heart Evangelista, to Dingdong Dantes and Marian Riveraβs wedding.

How to Get to Northern Blossom Flower Farm
You can find the flower farm in Sayangan, Atok, Benguet, approximately 1.5 hours away from Baguio City. It’s easy to spot the entrance to the flower farm. If you’re coming from Baguio, keep your eyes open to the right side of the road for the Northern Blossom Flower Farm tarpaulin.
To get there, you can either commute or drive all the way to the farm.
Via Commute
Ride a bus or a van going to Mankayan, Abatan, Lepanto, Sagada, Bontoc, or Besao. Ask the driver to drop you off at Northern Blossom. You can find buses and vans at Dangwa Station just behind Center Mall and beside the old branch of Good Taste Restaurant.
If you want to ride in comfort, you can also book a taxi to go to the Northern Blossom farm. A taxi can accommodate around 4 to 5 passengers. According to the taxi drivers I talked to, the usual fare is P4,000 (for the whole trip). They will wait for you to finish your farm tour. If you plan on riding a taxi, you can contact kuya Rolly at 09957143340.

If you plan on bringing your own car, you can use the Waze app to reach the farm. Just type βSaint Paulβs Academy in Sayangan, Atok, Benguet,β as it is one of the nearest landmarks to the farm.
Be careful when driving, you’ll be taking the Halsema Highway which is known for its zig zag roads and sharp curves.

What to Expect

The first time we went there, w were assigned a guide to tour us around the farm. I was pretty impressed. As we went from flower to flower, our guide filled us in with a lot of information.
The farm looked like any vegetable farm. The only difference is that they plant flowers instead of vegetables. There were snapdragons, rice flowers, dusty miller, alstroemeria, hydrangea, cabbage roses, delphiniums, and many others.

From the farm, you’ll be able to see the neighboring mountains, including Mt. Pulag. I asked our guide if it was possible to eat these beautiful cabbage roses. She said yes, but it’s not recommended as these are sprayed with lots of pesticides, so yeah, too bad, huh?
If you want to buy flowers, there are fresh flowers for sale near the registration area. The flowers are affordable. In fact, our most recent trip to the farm was just to buy flowers.

Northern Blossom Travel Tips
- Visit the farm on the weekdays to avoid the crowd. We visited on a Wednesday, and there were only around 10 tourists, so we were able to take lots of photos without any people in the background.
- Wear your most comfortable walking shoes. You’ll be walking for around an hour or more, depending on how long you want to take photos.
- There are ropes all around the flower farm keeping the flowers in place. This may or may not ruin your photos. Shoot at different angles to get the best photos.
Where to next?
Make the most of your trip and avail of the Circuit 2 or Circuit 3 tours at Paoay Brgy Hall so you can also see Mt. Timbak, Sakura Park, Former Highest Point, and Spanish Trail.
If youβre into mummies, you can ask the locals how to get to the Kabayan mummy caves.
If you want to go on a road trip, drive all the way to Sagada, then down to Cervantes or to Banaue.
All in all, Northern Blossom Flower Farm is a great side trip if you love flowers.
