Guest Review: “What a surprise! Perhaps the loveliest hotel I’ve stayed in during my 9 years in the Philippines. Beautiful grounds to stroll through (I did), multiple restaurants with delicious food options, and the most amazing – the onsite marine reserve. Perhaps the best snorkeling I’ve ever done – clear waters, large protected area and a variety of marine life, including the largest giant clams I’ve ever seen. Delightful staff remember your name for free breakfast and arrange tours (inexpensive and wonderful – whatever you wish). I plan to return for another 3 day stay as soon as possible! Happy that most Filipinos are superstitious and don’t like spending the night – Siquijor was far cleaner – land and water – than Palawan where I live. Highly recommended.”

The rooms were lovely and very clean. Location was good and even though it was next to the Baha bar the noise did not disturb us. We rented a moped from the hotel to explore the island. This was our favourite part of our 3 week trip around the Philipines. The breakfast pancakes are fantastic!! ””

Guest Review: “The tents are lovely and spacious, they didn’t get to hot during the day and we had a fan too. The view is beautiful and looks right onto the beach. The WiFi is good in the WiFi area, but might not work in your tent. Luckily we had a tent close to the WiFi area so it was working. The bathrooms were cute and have no ceiling so you can shower under the palms. We had a comfy bed places on palettes which was chic and the mattress was very comfortable. The staff are lovely, and there is a box of doughnuts out all day with fresh brewed hot coffee too! You can cook there which is so super cute. They have a selection of sauces you can use and all the cooking equipment. We wanted to litter pick on the beach and the staff offered us a beer when we were finished which we weren’t expecting but it was a lovely gesture! ”

Kwarto’s Guest House

Guest Review: “Accommodation is recommended for a hostel. Apart from the fact that it is super cheap, it offers the world’s best breakfast. The family cooks a typical Filipino breakfast every morning, something different every day. The dorm is great. Stable beds, comfortable mattresses and freshly made every day and a fresh towel. And with aircon. The location is about 7 minutes by scooter from the city of San Juan, but we are mostly only there for dinner. The family also rents top-of-the-range scooters for cheap money, which makes it easy to get anywhere. The whole family is helpful and very nice. A nice conversation is possible at any time. We only wanted to stay 2 days and were there for 6 days. We liked it very much.”
