Don’t miss out on the light shows at night, either. We were entranced by the Gardens Rhapsody light show at Gardens by the Bay during our visit. The show is held daily at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM, so make sure you don’t miss it!

Day 2: Discover Local Culture

Start your day off in Little India, an ethnic enclave full of vibrant colors and smells. Here, you can explore its lively markets and savor some delicious Indian cuisine. Have breakfast at Tekka Centre and explore the vibrant atmosphere of this bustling market.

Afterward, go to Kampong Glam to immerse yourself in the Arab quarter and its many mosques. Spend time strolling through the area or browsing the boutiques and souvenir shops along Haji Lane. Check out the Sultan Mosque for its impressive architecture. Make sure to dress appropriately when visiting this religious building. Grab lunch at one of the many cafes before heading out.

Take a stroll through Chinatown to admire traditional Chinese architecture. Learn about the history of this colorful district. As you walk around, be sure to check out some of the temples and eateries scattered around the area.

Rise and shine for an outdoor-filled day! Start your morning by visiting the stunning 82-hectare Singapore Botanic Gardens. You can wander through the various gardens and admire the beautiful flora here. You can easily lose track of time here as you explore the different species of plants and flowers.

Afterward, take a trip to Sentosa Island. Do thrilling outdoor activities such as cable car rides, zip-lining, rock climbing, and Segway tours. You can find Universal Studios here, with different themed rides and attractions for kids and adults.

End your day with a visit to the Singapore Zoo. See exotic animals such as Komodo dragons, tigers, and koalas in their natural habitats.

Day 4: Shopping and Dining

Start your day off at the iconic Singapore Flyer, where you can get a panoramic view of the city. For those looking to indulge in some retail therapy, plenty of shopping destinations are located near Marina Bay.

Head to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands for high-end shops and restaurants. Take a stroll down Orchard Road for affordable shopping.

For an authentic Singaporean experience, visit the Maxwell Food Centre, Chinatown.

Try also Tekka Market, Little India. Explore their local hawker stalls and street-side eateries. Be sure to try some of the famous dishes such as chili crab, Hainanese chicken rice, and laksa!

Day 5: Off the Beaten Path
