Our Experience
We had the chance to try the Break Free Package. Here’s our review to help you decide if it’s for you.
Accommodation
We stayed in the corner deluxe view. It was a spacious room with a king-size bed and its own private balcony. The room was clean and well-maintained.
The view from our room was amazing. We could see the lagoon and the mountains in the distance. Ryk and I never missed a day to enjoy a cup of tea while listening to the birds.
It was truly a relaxing experience.
The staff was also very attentive and accommodating. They made sure that our needs were met and that we had a comfortable stay
Food
The food was amazing! We were served a wide variety of dishes, both Filipino and international. I especially loved the desserts and would look forward to it the whole time we stayed in Pico de Loro.

Sunset Cruise
The sunset cruise is my favorite activity during our 3-day stay. We almost didn’t make it since it was raining a few hours before sunset. But the skies cleared up just in time and we were able to enjoy the best sunset cruise I’ve ever been on.
The cruise took us around the cove and we were able to see the different coves and islands in the area.
We were served wine and snacks while we watched the sunset. It was truly a magical experience!
Santelmo Cove Tour
Santelmo cove is a secluded cove that can only be reached by boat. It is one of the most beautiful places in Pico de Loro.
The beach has powdery white sand and the water is crystal clear. It’s surrounded by coral reefs and lush forests.
We went to the view deck to get a 360 degrees view of the cove. The hike only takes 2 to 3 minutes. On the way, we got to see several shy monkeys, a baby black tip shark, all sorts of birds, and lots of cute hermit crabs.
We stayed for over 4 hours at the cove and basically had the whole cove to ourselves! Aside from beach umbrellas and chairs, the place also has a bathroom/toilet area.
For lunch, we were treated to bilao meals! There’s just something about eating on the beach while listening to the waves crash that makes the experience even more special.
Before we left the cove, we went snorkeling and saw the different coral reefs and lots of fish!
Spa Massage
After our Santelmo cove tour, we went to the Rain, the Spa for the “Awaken the senses massage”. It was a very relaxing experience and just what we needed to rejuvenate our tired bodies. The masseuse was very professional and the massage was excellent.
Recreational Activities
Pico de Loro offers a wide variety of recreational activities. You can choose from indoor volleyball, basketball, bowling, karaoke, squash, and so much more! When we had free time, Ryk and I went to the game room and played two-player games on the Wii.
Spoiler – Ryk won all the games.
Mangrove Tour
On our last day, we had the chance to go on a mangrove tour. We rode a small boat. Our guide paddled through the mangrove forest. We saw different kinds of birds, fishes jumping around, and a lot of mud crabs!
This isn’t included in the package but you can request for a tour of the mangroves.
It was a great way to experience the nature and wildlife in Pico de Loro.

Pico de Loro is located in Nasugbu, Batangas, just 2.5 hours away from Manila. The fastest and most convenient way to get there is by private car.
