Fortunately, bringing some pasalubong back home can make this experience less bittersweet. Getting pasalubong in Pasay City, after all, is a great way to cherish the memories you made in the city, and the treats that you plan on bringing home is a great way to share these experiences with your friends and family.

It can be challenging to buy pasalubong, especially if aren’t familiar with the area to begin with. Luckily, there are several malls near NAIA where you can quickly shop for pasalubong before you head back home. Here are five malls that are located near the airport where you can do some last-minute pasalubong shopping.

SM Mall of Asia (MoA)

As the largest shopping mall in the Philippines, SM Mall of Asia (more popularly known as MoA) has got you covered when you’re looking for some pasalubong that are within your budget. The mall includes several shops that aren’t typically found outside of Metro Manila, and many of these establishments sell products that make excellent pasalubong for your friends and family. There are many specialty stores in this mall, so you can definitely find something for everyone, from skincare and beauty to delightful sweets and confections.

When you’re shopping for pasalubong in SM Mall of Asia, you won’t feel strapped for time. This is because getting to the airport from the mall is quick and easy since it’ll take you less than an hour to get to NAIA via a cab. This is also a reason why many travelers prefer to book accommodations at a hotel near MoA, so they can easily do their shopping before they get to their flight.

W Mall

If you want to do your pasalubong shopping in a smaller mall, W Mall is an excellent option. Although this mall has fewer stores compared to the previous mall, it has plenty of shops that offer quality products that make for excellent gifts. In the W Mall supermarket, you can purchase a variety of chips, snacks, and sweets that might not be available elsewhere. You can also check out what’s in the department store, and grab a few fashion items and household goods your family will surely appreciate. W Mall is located on Coral Way, Pasay, which is only 4.7km away from NAIA.

Newport Mall

There are a handful of malls in Pasay City that are known for their high-end retail stores, so if you’re interested in getting luxury branded items as pasalubong, one place you can get them is in Newport Mall. This mall is a four-level shopping destination that’s located in Newport World Resorts in Newport Blvd., Pasay. It’s known for its array of high-fashion boutiques, so you can find shoes, bags, clothing, and jewelry designed by high-end brands. This mall is just 20 minutes away from NAIA terminals 1 and 2 via taxi.

S Maison

Another luxury mall that’s just 20 minutes away from the airport is S Maison. This mall is connected to the Conrad Hotel on Seaside Boulevard, Coral Way, Pasay. Here, you can find high-end boutiques, beauty stores, tech stores, and eateries that offer deliciously sweet treats.  This makes S Maison an excellent location if you want to check all the boxes off your high-end pasalubong list.

Duty Free Philippines (Multiple Outlets)

Duty Free is a type of store that’s licensed by the government to allow travelers to buy merchandise without having to pay for duties or taxes. This makes the products in Duty Free stores cheaper compared to what is being sold in some malls. Balikbayans often flock to Duty Free stores due to the variety of products they sell there. It’s here where you can find gourmet chocolates, luxury perfumes, exclusive beauty and skincare products, as well as eye-catching trinkets and souvenirs.

There are four Duty Free stores in Pasay City. One for each of NAIA’s three terminals and the last one, which is named LUXE Duty Free Manila, is located on Palm Coast Avenue. Shopping at Duty Free stores located in NAIA is super convenient because you can grab as many pasalubong as you want just minutes before you have to board the plane. LUXE Duty Free Manila, however, is 20 minutes away from the airport.

What makes LUXE Duty Free Manila different from the other Duty Free stores in Pasay is the types and number of stores it has. Here, you can find over 50 beauty and fashion high-end shops, so it has more merchandise compared to the Duty Frees in NAIA. However, there are some limitations and restrictions when shopping in LUXE Duty Free Manila, so it’s good to do some research before shopping at this mall.

Taking a fun vacation to Pasay City is a great way to get out and experience an exciting location in Manila. But even though you want to enjoy exploring everything the city has to offer, your time in Pasay is limited. Fortunately, there are a lot of malls in Pasay City near NAIA where you can get awesome last-minute gifts that can remind you of all the good times you had in the city.
