Each day will feature at least one major attraction and a couple of optional activities throughout the day so that you can have a flexible, customizable experience that can cater to any budget, group size, and travel style.
So, ready to go on an adventure? Let’s start planning!
Day 1: North Strip Sightseeing
No matter how many times you’ve been to Vegas, the first day on the strip is always an exciting one. On day 1 of your 5 day Vegas excursion, you’ll want to take advantage of the beautiful north strip sights. The north strip is considered to be on Las Vegas Boulevard above Flamingo Road.
After breakfast, start the day out by hopping onto the Big Bus tour, which is a great way to take in all the scenic views of the strip. The tour runs up and down the Strip with an onboard guide narrating everything and even pointing out the highlights. You can get on and off whenever you’d like, so pick and choose which stops work best for you.

Then, continue up the strip and make a stop at the Flamingo Hotel. This vintage-vibe hotel is home to the free wildlife habitat, which houses a variety of wildlife, including flamingos, that are sure to bring a smile to your face. Before lunch, take a quick stroll through the habitat to watch these amazing creatures in their natural environment.
For the afternoon, there are lots of options. If you’re looking for some pool time or shopping, then you’re in luck. There are a ton of great hotels with world-class pools and incredible shopping experiences. If you’d rather take it easy, the Adventuredome indoor amusement park at Circus Circus is a great for all ages. It has a rollercoaster, bumper cars, carnival games, and a whole lot more.
At sunset, head over to the LINQ promenade to grab something to snack on and take a ride on the High Roller, where you can watch the lights come alive 550 feet above the center of the Las Vegas Strip on North America’s largest observation wheel.
Then, cap off your night with a trip to the Stratosphere Tower to soak up the wonderful nighttime views of the entire city. Grab a drink at the newly-remodeled Observation Deck or dinner at the famous Top of the World restaurant.
Day 2: South Strip Sightseeing
On day 2, you can explore the south part of the Strip, where you’ll find some great photo opportunities, shops with delicious treats, and unique drinks. Start the day with a picture tour and check out some of the iconic and Instagram spots in Las Vegas like the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, the Sphinx at the Luxor, the Statue of Liberty in New York, and the M&M’S Las Vegas store at MGM. Then, grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants around the area.
Once you’re refueled and ready to go, hang out at Mandalay Bay Beach, which offers stunning views of the city and plenty of activities. Enjoy the wave pool, lazy river, outdoor lounge chairs, and more. Before you leave Mandalay Bay, stop by the Shark Reef Aquarium, which is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the United States.
Bargain hunters will want to head over to the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets, which is about a 10-minute Uber ride south from Mandalay Bay. This large outlet mall contains over 140 shops of designer clothing and household goods.
Finish the day off by heading back towards the central strip, where you will find the Paris Hotel, Cosmopolitan, and the Bellagio. Admire the French-themed architecture and styling while you take some photos at the top of the Eiffel Tower, or soak in the atmosphere at Beer Park, which is one of the newest rooftop bars at the Paris Hotel.

Across the street, you will find the Bellagio Fountains, which is a must-stop while in Las Vegas. These world-famous fountains, coordinated with music and light, shoot up to 460 feet in the air and are free to watch. Each performance is unique, so grab a comfy spot and be mesmerized for hours. While there, be sure to head inside and walk through the Conservatory, another free, can’t-miss stop at the Bellagio.

If you still have any energy, cruise over to the ultra-chic Cosmopolitan for a drink at the Chandelier Bar, an Instagramable multi-story lounge that is draped in a giant Chandelier. If you are hungry, let your sense of smell guide you to the hidden pizzeria for an affordable yet tasty slice.
Day 3: Outdoor Thrills & Fun
For day 3, you are probably a little sick of the crowds, hotels, and casinos, so we are going to get you outdoors to experience some of the amazing natural wonders that surround Las Vegas.
For some of the best hiking around Las Vegas, head over to Red Rock National Conservation area, which is only a 30-minute drive from the Las Vegas Strip. From jaw-dropping views to unique wildlife, there’s something for everyone to enjoy as you drive the 13-mile scenic drive.

There’s also the Hoover Dam, another iconic American landmark at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area is yet another beautiful spot for exploring. Take a tour from the strip or drive a short 45-minute drive for another bucket list experience.
Experience another one of Nevada’s iconic natural wonders with an early morning trip to the Valley of Fire. This striking landscape will have you mesmerized with its vivid rock formations and desert beauty. Make sure you make your way to the impressive Fire Wave, a trail leading to an outcrop of sandstone shaped into colorful stripes by years worth of erosion.
If you’re looking for a change of scene, take a day trip to one of the world’s most iconic landmarks, the Grand Canyon. It’s just a few hours drive from Las Vegas, and it’s a great way to experience the beautiful desert landscape. Consider taking a guided tour or a helicopter ride over the Canyon for truly unforgettable memories.
Day 4: Fremont Street

No trip to Vegas is complete without spending a day in the iconic Fremont Street and Downtown Las Vegas. With plenty of shops, unique tours, restaurants, and bars, you won’t be short of activities.
Start the morning by heading to the Mob Museum to learn about the history of organized crime in America. From artifacts and photographs to interactive exhibits and more, there is something for everyone at the Mob Museum.
Later in the day, tour some of the iconic television show locations with a Las Vegas Reality Show VIP Tour. Check out the filming locations of:

Finish off your day on Fremont Street with the Viva Vision light show. This incredible show wows visitors every evening with its light and sound display regularly set to classic rock and oldies tunes. For an adrenaline rush, try the Zoomline at Slotzilla, and soar 11 stories up over the Fremont Street crowds. For those with families, Fremont Street gets a little “adult” as the day turns into the night, so plan accordingly.
Day 5: Art & History

On the final day of your 5-day stay, explore some of the more off-beat attractions around the city. If you’re looking for a little bit of culture, take some time to explore the Neon Museum. This unique attraction houses vintage neon signs from all over the city and offers an interesting look into Las Vegas’ history.
Next, head to the Pinball Hall of Fame, which features over 200 pinball machines from all different decades. Whether you see yourself as a pro or a beginner, you’ll have an awesome time playing all the classic arcade games. The best part? It’s all free!
Finally, cap off the day with one of the many shows at the Las Vegas hotels. The nightlife in Las Vegas is legendary, and a show is a perfect way to end your trip. Catch one of the top Rock and Country artists such as Adele, Katy Perry, or Miranda Lambert, or watch a performance of one of the many Cirque du Soleil shows.
Magicians such as Chris Angel, Penn and Teller, and David Copperfield or comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Terry Fator, and Brad Garret perform regularly.
